Girah Pravesh Pooja

Girah Pravesh is a ceremony performed on the occasion of one's first entry into a new house. Once the house is ready, the family moves in on an auspicious day that is determined by the astrological charts. Purity of panchang (almanac) and auspicious time (muhurat) must be considered during the griha pravesh. Normaly time of entry in to the house should be in Shubh/ Labh or Amrut chaughadiya Mahurat. The time of the chaughadiya Mahurat can be calculated by calculating the duration of Day and night. If lagan Shudhdhi has been done by a Jyotish Acharya than there is no importance of chaughadiya Mahurat. Grah prevesh can be done in fixed ascendent like Taurus,Leo,Scorpio and Aquarious ascendents.
